how ya going?

greetings from sunny Sydney! I'm writing this from the hotel on the second stop of our tour. we've already been to Brisbane, where we saw a great Andy Warhol exhibit, took a river tour which culminated in cuddling koalas (which are not bears, by the way, and stink something awful!), and managed to both get really sunburned. I know, go figure.

Now we're in Sydney, and it is Spanky's birthday. We spent the day at the beaches, and tomorrow we're going to the aquarium. Sydney is really cool. So far, we like it better, but really, Brisbane was pretty great too.

Today, I also got to go to Tapestry Craft, the yarn store that David Reidy is always talking about on his podcast. I also got to meet "Kris", who says she's been interviewed a couple of times for the show. She was very helpful, and helped me pick out some pretty authentic Australian souvenier yarn. It's actually New Zealand yarn, but whatever. Apparently a lot of Australian yarn gets processed elsewhere and sent back, so...

I don't know if this makes a whole lot of sense, as I'm trying to write quickly, since the internet is exhorbitant at this freaking hotel, and I don't want to spend too much time online. Next, we're going to Ulhuru, so I don't think we'll have internet again until Melbourne.

Anyway, lots more pics on flickr, if you click through any of these. I miss everyone at home! So much to tell you all...
xoxo
